When you’d like less mess but more fun than you have to find something that can bring both of these together. With sidewalk chalk that you can squirt and make, then the fun will come rolling in. Grab the kids and make this fun craft. After it is made, they can go out and test everything you’ve done and see just how fun it is to use it!

Directions For Making Your Sidewalk Chalk

Add equal parts of the baking soda and corn starch inside the bottle, filling it up around 2/3 of the way. Add a few drops of the food coloring into the bottle and then use water to completely fill them up the rest of the way.

Use a butter knife to stir up the chalk inside the bottle and then place the cap on tightly and shake the bottle well.

Do this for each of the bottles with each of the sidewalk chalk colors that you want to make.

This is a great project for those days when you might have nothing else going on. You can also make the chalk paint before on a rainy day and then go out and play with it when the sun comes back out and starts to shine down.
